The History That Made Us
Founded in 2017, Pampel Design is a family-owned business based in Santa Barbara, specializing in luxury interior and exterior shade solutions. Co-owners Daniel and Valerie Pampel launched the company with a shared vision: to offer personalized service and combine modern technology with timeless, refined design to create beautiful and functional living spaces.
With over 20 years of combined industry experience, the Pampels lead a team that delivers a full range of services—including custom motorized blinds, drapery, shutters, and both stationary and retractable awnings. Pampel Design also offers canopies, louvered pergolas, and custom upholstery, all produced with care in their in-house fabrication sew room. Through partnerships with premier brands such as Azenco, Lutron, Sunbrella, Conrad, and KE Outdoor, they provide high-end, thoughtfully tailored solutions designed to elevate every project.
Meet the Founders
After relocating from south Alabama to Santa Barbara County in 2016, we started out subcontracting our services within the window coverings community. Within a year, we saw an opportunity to open our own studio in the heart of Santa Barbara.
Since then, we've been dedicated to staying on the cutting edge of the industry—growing our services, expanding into in-house fabrication during the pandemic, and continuing to evolve alongside our clients and design partners.
This business has become so much more than a job—it’s a creative outlet, a passion, and a way to contribute to the design community in a meaningful way. We're incredibly grateful to our clients for their trust and continued support.
